Help shape tomorrow

The Hertie School is known for its excellence in practice-oriented teaching, first-class research and
its extensive international network. We receive no public funding, relying instead on a network of strong partners with whom we share the goal of shaping the world of tomorrow. Support the school and help shape the future with us.

A new campus
for the Hertie School

In 2026, the Hertie School will move into its new campus right in the political centre of Berlin. There the Hertie School will welcome both students and researchers from around the world and local Berliners for debates, exchanges, and event opportunities. With the new campus, the Hertie School will further expand its profile as a leading university for good governance and modern statehood in Europe.

Find out how you can contribute to become part of the new campus.

Invest in teaching and research

Our professors work at the interface between research, politics and society and set the agenda for contemporary public policy debate. They create the link between political actors, fellow experts and our students, the next generation of future leaders.

The Hertie School currently hosts seven endowed chairs, generously supported by a variety of foundations, as well as public and private sector organisations.

Support our students

Our students benefit from an education that combines academic excellence with practical skills, giving them the opportunity to work with and for our partner organi- sations. In doing so, they develop the skill set they need to tackle increasingly complex societal issues through an interdisciplinary, intersectoral and international lens.

The Hertie School, together with its practice partners, offers a variety of scholarship programmes. As a partner, you can make a contribution by adding to our general scholarship fund.

Partners and funders

We are grateful for our network of partners and funders
who have helped us in the last 20 years to understand today
and shape tomorrow by investing in our teaching and
research, as well as our students.
